Rain, glorious rain

What a good weekend! We enjoyed dinner Friday night at The Pita House in Greenville and on to Vikki's for tea and baklava for dessert. We had a GREAT TIME at a bike ride in Iva Saturday morning. Beautiful weather for riding. We took the short route (25 miles) so we could enjoy "brunch" at Grits and Groceries in Saylors Crossroads. Had to buy a G&G tee because it says "Southern Cookin' Keeps You Good Lookin' " Big shopping trip to Grady's in Anderson for me some new casual clothes for the upcoming camping trip to Colorado. Fun with Alan's family in the evening - some gardening, a drive in Mom's new Avalon, dinner in West Union, a tour of Britt & Anita's new house. We planned to bike again this morning, so we slept over in Oakway - in the CAMPER. It was good sleeping to the sweet sound of rain, which cancelled our bike ride. We've needed rain, and although we got less than an inch, it was good, slow rain and the ground savored every drop. Going to be HOT this week.
