OK, the update since July 26th. Alan started work and finished up summer school all in the same week. It was a rough one but he made it. Fuji welcomed him back with open arms and things there are going really well. Nice to reconnect with colleagues and get new projects to work on. My work is wrapping up nicely so far.
Two Fridays ago we took a half day to house hunt. In our price range there were only 5 potentials. They were easily ranked and really only one contender. Last week we bid on it and got a DEAL! Looking to close mid-Sept. If I were on the other computer I could post photos. Maybe later.
So, all is well with us. Anticipating with excitement the big change ahead. We'll move the last week in September and I'll finish up at work around October 15.
Alan's sister was at Duke today and will be having liver surgery September 9th. She'll be there about 10 days, so Alan is planning to go up for the surgery, to be with his parents. She is looking great. Been off chemo 6+ weeks now. Please continue to pray.
My mom is in the hospital with double pneumonia. It's been coming on a few weeks (probably too much humidity) but finally got to her last evening. She called EMS and they admitted her for respiratory therapy and antibiotics. She is improving rapidly.
Church has been LOTS of fun lately. We enjoyed the volunteer vision event a few weeks ago and last night went to an excellent evangelism seminar. Over 1000 people attended at the Greenville campus. Sunday services are packed. God is doing great things. Lives are being changed. Go, Jesus!!
